Holiday Bible Club (HBC) 2019 Feedback (Part 1)

This year HBC was held from the 30th of September to the 4th of October. The theme was “Kingdom of Choices”. It was our privilege to have Mr Andrew Roberts, a children’s evangelist from Bendigo, teach the school aged children lessons from the book of Daniel. We are also thankful for the Sunday School teachers who volunteered to teach the pre-schoolers. As well as lessons from Daniel, they also had lessons on people who made choices in the New Testament and the missionary Mary Slessor.

Depending on their age and group the children were asked to respond to the following questions and statements:

  • Share something you enjoyed or are thankful about at HBC this week. What was your favourite thing at HBC?
  • During the messages, what did God speak to your heart about or what did you learn about?
  • God wants you to make wise choices for Him. Write down one thing you have decided to start, stop or keep doing.

I really enjoyed being able to take part in HBC, seeing as I wasn’t too old for it. God really spoke to my heart about praising Him more and not to be afraid of praising Him around other people. I want to start praying with my friends – not only at Bible Study.

- Age 13

I enjoyed the messages that Mr Roberts shared this week. I enjoyed the crafts that are going to the children in need. During the messages, God spoke to my heart about what happens after I die (do I go to heaven or hell). I have decided to keep praying every day and night.

- Age 13

I am thankful for the Roberts family to come and teach us about God’s word. During the messages, God spoke to my heart about how to turn to trust in the Lord and how to be saved. I am going to keep praising the Lord.

- Age 11
