Dear Pastor Ki and Session and all Hopefuls,

Rejoice always in the Lord, and again I say, Rejoice!

May the Lord of all grace grant the richest of His blessings upon Hope B-P Church on her 30th Anniversary Thanksgiving.

Thanks for your generous support and prayers over all these years.

Dear Pastor Ki, the Session, and Worshippers of Hope Bible-Presbyterian Church,

Christian Greetings!

On behalf of Covenant Bible-Presbyterian Church, I would like to extend my warm congratulations on your celebrating 30 years of Christian worship and witness.

I am delighted that the Lord has richly blessed you all these years. I remember reading about the inception of your congregation and the providential purchase of that stately property you owned for many years. From you, the Lord has raised up many disciples and sent forth his light.

It is my prayer that in these days of great religious apostasy that you will continue to be established in the grace of the Lord (Heb 13:9), living the gospel with joy and being overwhelmed by the knowledge that your debt to Christ can never be repaid.

And I pray that in being established in grace, you would bear his reproach outside the camp (Heb 13:13). We pray that this witness of the gospel will God be pleased to use in the winning of souls to his kingdom.

We thank God for the like faith we share in Christ and pray that our love and unity would be deepened as we fellowship with each other (Psa 133).

ASANTE – NIMUVEA – THANK YOU

Dear Friends in Hope Bible-Presbyterian Church;

We want to say Thank You for the generous gift given to our support early this year! Please forgive our terrible delay in writing to you. It seems a lot has happened with doctors, church work here, and planning for the come team to Kenya. God has been good and blessed us in so many ways!

There is a team of 13 going to Kenya, but 4 of us are going a bit early to clean up the team house (clean out dead mice, scorpions and the like) and to clean rooms, and have the beds ready. It is nicer to come into a clean place rather than clean up when you arrive.

On July 5th your Purdee and Sarah will arrive in Kenya from Australia and 7 from the States. They will come to the bush on the 7th, after exchanging money (can’t use $$ bills in the bush), getting some more groceries – eggs and lots of eggs, bread, and picking up some meat that Pat ordered and is frozen waiting on them. They will make their way to the bush, in a bus, and be dropped there. Pat will be there and have dinner waiting.

We do have the beginnings of a schedule made, but not sure yet who will be going which way. There are classes to teach, teas for the ladies, public schools to visit to tell Bible stories and give Vitamin A, desks to repair, some painting and maintenance work around the mission and preparations for Sunday School lessons and sermons by the men. Nothing to do? I don’t think so!

Please be in prayer for the plans and preparations. Oh, there are things we need to buy here to take, things another missionary there wants, and all the email coordination for there (over 375 already). Do pray for safety in travel as the team is coming at different times and from different directions. Also pray that the TEAM might accomplish much for the Lord! Pray that our works will show forth a witness for Him, and our words to be true to the Word.

Thank you for the wonderful gift to us. Thank you for helping Purdee and Sarah to join us in Kenya.

May God bless each of you, meet your needs, and give you many joys in serving Him.

Sincerely in His Service,
Gary and Pat Johnson
Hurricane, WV, USA.
